‘Tis the season…a few gift ideas for the gardener in your life.
Bogs
Love them. Have all three heights in the neoprene/rubber combo. The knee-high ones are my favorite. A work horse in the garden and cute enough to wear around town.

Pre de Provence Shea Butter Hand Cream
Oh to soothe those dry cracked hands.

Garden Design magazine
Still the definitive magazine for style conscious gardeners.

Mighty Leaf Tea
Soothing tea to keep you warm while doing winter work in the garden…or if just observing the garden from indoors (and a cozy chair). Worth ordering if you cannot get locally. Chamomile Citrus is my favorite.

Serena & Lily Chunky Wooly Throw
For cuddling up after a long day in the garden (with above tea).

Bahco Ergo Bypass Pruners
Good pruners are worth every penny. These are my pick. Now if only I could take proper care of them…

Patagonia Capilene
My favorite base layer for winter gardening or just about any outdoor activity this time of year. The half zip mock keeps the neck warm too. You can always count on Patagonia for high quality gear.

Rapid Reel Hose Reel
Still my favorite. Looks good, works well and is user-friendly.

Smartwool Socks
Warm feet make winter chores in the garden much more tolerable. Smartwool makes a great sock that seems to outlive all others in my sock drawer…

Kleen Kanteen
Ditch the plastic, but stay hydrated. Go for stainless. Who can resist the eye-popping colors? My favorite – “Tree Bark” (of course)

Emilie Sloan Totes
Still loving mine…it is holding up wonderfully even with all the abuse I heap on it. There is a new pattern that looks to be a must have (see below).

Slogger UPF 50 Sunhat
So perhaps we won’t see the sun for another 5 months here in the Pacific Northwest, but when it arrives, a sun hat is a must have for gardeners. This hat is perfect. The brim is huge for extra protection. Does the job without being overly foofy. I even stuffed mine in a suitcase for a trip to LA and it popped back into shape immediately. This is a great, inexpensive sun hat.

And finally…a gift I have hinted about to Adam:
Viva Terra’s Owl Mugs
Gardener or not – who wouldn’t want to drink tea from an owl mug. Seriously.

Thanks Tish for the tip on Bogs. I’ve been looking for a new garden shoe that wasn’t a clog. I know Santa would want me to have these and thank goodness he shops on Zappos.com, where they happen to be on sale.
