The lawn to drought tolerant garden transformation is in full swing at my parents. It is always fun to see a garden take shape as compared to the design. See the before picture (after the lawn was killed), the in progress picture and the plant palette mock up. Stone was used for a portion of the path, so the plants are leaning toward peach and chocolate tones to complement the stone and decomposed granite. Purple adds a splash of color and blue foliage provides a soft contrast.
In early August, I fly down to buy plants and do lay out. Very exciting!
